A magnetic drive pump is a pump that uses magnetic force to transfer liquid. It does not require a mechanical seal, thus avoiding leakage problems caused by the wear of sealing components in traditional pumps. A magnetic drive pump mainly consists of external drive magnets, internal passive magnets, a pump body and a rotor.
A magnetic drive pump is a pump that uses magnetic force to transfer liquids. It does not require a mechanical seal, thus avoiding leakage problems caused by the wear of sealing components in traditional pumps. A magnetic drive pump mainly consists of an external drive magnet, an internal passive magnet, a pump body, and a rotor, among other components.
The working principle of a magnetic drive pump is that an external drive magnet generates a magnetic field, causing the internal passive magnet to rotate within the pump body, thereby driving the liquid to flow inside the pump body. The external drive magnet and the internal passive magnet transfer force through a magnetic field, achieving contactless transmission and therefore leak-free liquid transfer.
The structure of a magnetic drive pump mainly includes the pump body, rotor, external drive magnet, and internal passive magnet. The pump body is usually made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, and the rotor is installed inside. The passive magnet is mounted on the rotor. The external drive magnet is usually installed outside the pump body and is driven by an external transmission device. Under the action of the magnetic field of the external magnet, the internal passive magnet also rotates along with the external magnet, thus achieving liquid transfer.
Magnetic drive pumps have advantages such as simple structure, no leakage, and no pollution. They are suitable for transferring corrosive liquids, flammable and explosive liquids, and high-temperature, high-pressure liquids under special working conditions. They are widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
In general, magnetic drive pumps achieve liquid transfer through the magnetic force transmission between the external drive magnet and the internal passive magnet, avoiding leakage problems caused by mechanical seals in traditional pumps, and having good safety and stability.
